The Irish Herald newspaper has upset people including grime star Stormzy after they put a picture of him on the cover while talking about footballer Romelu Lukaku.
Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo, Jr. aka Stormzy wasn’t feeling like Mr “Everybody knows me” when he slammed the paper even though his 2017 ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ album is played on almost every radio station in the country with major hits on the playlists of major party scenes and he just won the Best International Act: Europe but he felt the mix-up wasn’t “funny.” He tweeted to his followers that he majorly disapproved the error.
Editor of the paper, Alan Steenson has sent him an apology saying; “Hand’s up, we got it badly wrong. Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn’t him. It was Stormzy. To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future.”
However, people have taken to social media to debate the issue of mistaking the two stars. While some called it racist, others said it was an understandable mistake as both stars look alike.
