After an interesting match between Argentina’s Albeceste and Nigeria’s Super Eagles yesterday, a match which ended in a 3-2 victory for the Argentine team; Nigeria’s coach Stephen Keshi has described Barcelona forward Lionel Messi as a player ‘from Jupiter’ as he spearheaded Nigeria’s defeat in their final Group F game.
World Cup debutants, Bosnia-Herzogivina also recorded their first win of the tournament beating Iran 3-1, however, the Super Eagles put up a good fight against the Argentine team.
The phenomenal Lionel Messi scored Argentina’s first two goals with Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa scoring two goals in a bid to equalize, however, Argentina’s Rojo put in a third goal for his team, which left them as winners.
In response to his team’s loss, Keshi told FIFA.com: “It’s an honour and we’re very happy to reach the next round. I think we lost the game because we showed them too much respect in the first half. After the break we managed to play our game, attacked more, had more possession and were better overall.’’
He also added that ‘’Argentina is a great team’’ and ‘’Messi is a great player’’. ‘’He’s blessed and there’s no way you can escape him. Messi’s from Jupiter.”, Keshi said.
