Red Media Africa wins Gold SABRE Awards for PR Campaigns

Red Media Africa, a leading PR & Communication company focused on providing solutions to brands in Africa, has been announced winner of the Gold SABRE Awards for Public Relations Campaigns.

Red Media Africa led the Western Africa category for its sterling work on Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg’s inaugural visit to Nigeria in 2016, while StateCraft Inc., its governance consulting affiliate was recognised with a Certificate of Excellence for leading the communication campaign of Nana Akufo-Addo in Ghana’s 2016 presidential elections.

With this award, Red Media Africa emerged the only Nigerian PR & Communication company among the shortlist of winners at the globally recognized Awards. The SABRE Awards, which attract close to 5,000 entries globally each year, provide the premier showcase for the best that public relations has to offer.

Speaking on the award, Adebola Williams, chief executive officer of Red Media Africa said: “We are deeply humbled by this recognition. This further validates our work and focus on using the media to inspire and empower Africa. We believe there is no potent force in the world like that of an inspired individual – that has been the crux of our communication. Going forward we will double down on our efforts to inspire the continent.”

The SABRE Award showcases the best work produced by public relations firms to demonstrate that PR can develop brand-building ideas, creative content, and strategic reputation management programs that impact the bottom line.

The first ever African SABRE Awards ceremony, which will be held as part of the African Public Relations Association’s annual conference, will take place in Morocco from May 10 – 12, 2017.
